PDFMaker and the Mac. Even though PDFMaker is a Windows-only utility, Macintosh users shouldn't feel left out. The Mac doesn't really need PDFMaker, because Mac OS X provides similar functions to every Mac application. The Mac Print dialog box has a PDF drop-down menu in its lower-left corner that gives you access to a long series of PDF.
Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader will automatically detect if a new version of the software is available. The program will check for a new version when you launch either Acrobat or Reader as an application, and will prompt you to install a new version when it's available. How to update Adobe Reader/Acrobat. Check the Adobe website for detailed. I used to be able to save an Outlook folder (and all its messages) as a PDF. This was an excellent archiving tool for me, but since I upgraded to DC (at Adobe's pop-up suggestion), I no longer have the option. I tried everything suggested at Fix PDFMaker unavailability in MS Office but, alas, the ad.

Office 365 ProPlus is being renamed to Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise. For more information about this change, read this blog post.

The December 2018 Acrobat release disabled XPS and EMF file conversion to PDF. At Adobe, we build security into our products and we implement numerous security processes and controls to help us comply with industry-accepted standards, regulations and certifications. Some examples of overall security improvements specific to Acrobat and Reader include: sandboxing (Protected Mode and Protected View), fuzzing high value targets like the broker process, finding memory corruption bugs via ASAN/GFlags, and running continuous static analysis on the codebase. Additionally, as an added security measure, where we see features with low usage, like XPS and/or EMF to PDF conversion, we disable these features. However, if you trust the document origin, you can enable the feature by creating and setting the preferences below.

Acrobat Pdfmaker Office Add In
PDFMaker
These preference control the Adobe Sign UI in MS Office applications when PDFMaker is present. Note the following:
- Windows has two prefs that interact with each other as follows: EnableSignInOffice = 1 overrides DisableSignInOffice (null, 0, or 1) if present.
- MS Office products can display one of two Adobe signature-related UIs: One provided by Acrobatâs PDFMaker add-in and one provided by the Adobe Sign web add-in if it's installed it from the Office store. On Windows, by default, if Acrobat detects the presence of the Adobe Sign UI, PDFMaker does not show its Sign UI. On Macintosh, Acrobat cannot detect the Adobe Sign UI, so the PDFMaker Sign UI displays by default. The settings enable admins to customize which signature UI appears.
